Welcome to the TAP Blog! This intro article is about our work at TAP and what you can expect to read from us here.

Hi there and thank you for joining The Community TAP! My name is Caylin (she/her) and I am the Executive Director and Co-Founder of Theatre Advocacy Project | TAP. Our mission at TAP is to create safe and equitable working conditions for all theatre professionals and our vision is a future free from discrimination, harassment, and abuse, allowing for the advancement of braver, more collaborative, and exploratory art-making.
You may already be familiar with how we work to achieve our mission, since you’re here, but in case you don’t here’s a quick overview. Our work is three-fold:

It feels like a natural extension of our work to begin this blog, so we can continue to build our online community, share best practices, and bring you access to the findings from our industry research. As we continue to develop and share a longer-form entry point to our work than what you’ll see as a snapshot on social media, we hope you will find this engaging, interesting, and helpful.
What can you expect? You can expect to hear from me and other TAP team members, including our fantastic board of directors. We’ll bring you stories of why this work is important and how we were drawn to it, useful information about employee rights, workplace culture, the challenges that face the industry, and our ideas on how to create change. But we also want to hear from you! You can submit your ideas and questions and we’ll do our best to answer them.
Thank you so much for being a part of our community TAP. We couldn’t do this work without you. In fact, we do this work because of you! So cheers to you and to accountable theatre and braver art.
